LuckyLand Slots against Chumba Casino: one rulebook closing, one continuing
Head to head
LuckyLand Slots and Chumba Casino share an owner and nearly every clause: both sweeps rulebooks are dated 13 July 2026, both pay 5 SC per free request and value a Sweeps Coin at $1. The one scored gap is the floor, 50 SC against 100, and LuckyLand is reported to end access and redemptions on 14 September 2026.
At a glance
LuckyLand vs Chumba is the closest head to head on this site: one owner, one drafting style and, in most rows, the same clause number. LuckyLand Slots’ Sweeps Rules 31.0 (SR, 13 July 2026, archive capture of 7 September 2026) and Terms of Service 25.0 (ToS, 24 November 2025, archive capture of 12 December 2025) go against Chumba’s Sweeps Rules 26.0 and Terms and Conditions 27.0 (T&C), both dated 13 July 2026 and read on 11 September 2026. Verdicts follow how we score.

On the six scored rules LuckyLand beats Chumba once, on the cash minimum, and matches five times. The sweeps rules carry the same date; LuckyLand’s terms are the older document. That scorecard describes a rulebook, and the brand behind it is reported to be closing.
LuckyLand’s closure: reported dates and what was read
Trade press reported on 28 July 2026, with CasinoBeats quoting VGW, that LuckyLand Slots is closing in three steps.
| Step | Reported date |
|---|---|
| Gold Coin purchases end | 3 August 2026 |
| Play ends | 24 August 2026 |
| Access and redemptions end | 14 September 2026 |
What was read first-hand is thinner. On 11 September 2026 luckylandslots.com redirected to a not-available page. VGW’s own site held no closing post that could be found, and Sweeps Rules 31.0 of 13 July 2026, the last version captured, carries no wind-down notice. The same reports say Chumba, Global Poker and LuckyLand Casino continue. Every date in the table above belongs to the press and stays labelled that way until VGW’s own text is read. The dated entry sits in the rule changes log.
Coins: the same two currencies
Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins work identically on both platforms. Gold Coins cannot be redeemed for prizes (SR 3.2(a) at both). Sweeps Coins arrive free, with marked Gold Coin packs, through the Daily Bonus, Facebook giveaways or the entry request, and each redeems at US$1 once won through play (SR 4.4 at both). Both rulebooks require one playthrough and reserve the right to ask for up to 20 (SR 4.6).
Chumba’s T&C 27.0 cl. 8.22 expires Sweeps Coins 60 days after the last log-on. The LuckyLand rows on file carry no expiry clause, so the scorecard leaves that row open rather than assume VGW copied it across.
Redemption: the floor is the one real gap
LuckyLand’s floor was half of Chumba’s. SR 31.0 cl. 6.5 processes a prize worth US$50 or more, that is 50 Sweeps Coins, and ToS 25.0 cl. 8.2 reserves the same SC50 threshold; Chumba’s SR 26.0 cl. 6.5 and T&C 8.2 say US$100 and SC100. The single floor covers cash and gift cards on both sides. In free-entry terms, 10 LuckyLand requests reach the floor against 20 at Chumba, before any play.
The rest reads word for word. Cash goes back in USD to the account or wallet used to buy Gold Coins, and gift cards go to the account email (SR 6.3–6.4). One request is processed per 24 hours (8.15), the bank leg takes up to 10 business days (8.16), payments above US$10,000 may take up to 7 extra days (8.18), and a cap of US$10,000 a day is reserved (SR 6.8). Chumba’s redemption-options page names its rails as bank, Skrill and Prizeout; the LuckyLand help centre is a client-side shell whose list was unreadable. Every brand’s floor is side by side on the redemption comparison.
Verification
The two rulebooks share their verification clauses. A request stays pending until the checks are complete (9.2 at both), and larger sums bring extra checks on identity, address and source of funds (9.3). The trigger wording differs by one word: LuckyLand’s fires at a redemption “equivalent to or exceeding” US$2,000, Chumba’s at one “exceeding” USD$2,000.
Chumba’s help pages list the documents: a selfie, photo ID, proof of address from the last six months and a bank statement of the same age. T&C 27.0 cl. 9.4 gives 30 days from the first request to supply them. For a LuckyLand player, verification is the step most likely to decide whether a last request clears in time, because an unverified request simply waits.
Free entry and purchases
Both current rulebooks use the same online entry request and print no postal address. The player scratches to reveal a template, copies it by hand onto a 4×6-inch card, photographs it in the app and passes a selfie check if prompted; each valid request pays 5 SC (SR 3.2(d)(vi) at both). The Daily Bonus is claimable once a day, and both hold no-cost giveaways on Facebook (SR 3.2(b)–(c)).
Purchases share one definition: “any card, online wallet, financial/bank account or other payment medium”, with crypto named in neither. Chumba’s welcome offer in an archive capture of 28 January 2026 was 2,000,000 Gold Coins plus 2 free Sweeps Coins. At LuckyLand, purchases and play have already ended by the reported dates, so these rows describe its rules rather than an open door.
Options for a LuckyLand balance
Closure mechanics only, taken from the LuckyLand rules and the reported schedule:
- Check that the balance is redeemable. Only Sweeps Coins won through play count, after one playthrough (SR 4.6), and the eligible balance must reach 50 SC (SR 6.5). The rules print no route below that floor.
- Finish verification first. A request stays pending until the checks are complete (ToS 9.2), and larger sums bring extra checks (9.3).
- Make one request for the whole eligible balance. One request is processed per 24 hours (8.15), so a second attempt costs a day.
- Expect the bank leg to run past the date. The rules allow up to 10 business days for the payment (8.16). How VGW treats requests still pending on 14 September 2026 belongs to its own closure notice, which was not read.
- Treat the account as final. Neither rulebook moves a LuckyLand balance to Chumba or to another VGW brand. A new Chumba account starts at zero, needs its own verification and has a 100 SC floor.
- Set limits again. Chumba’s Responsible Social Gameplay Policy 4.0 (10 July 2025) cl. 4.2(h) says a break taken at Chumba does not extend to its sister sites; limits belong to one brand at a time.
Where each VGW brand is offered, and every official action that names one, LuckyLand among them, is covered on the by-state page.
Owner and sister brands
LuckyLand Slots is owned and operated by VGW Luckyland, Inc. (ToS 2.1), and its terms define the platform as belonging to the VGW Group. Chumba is operated by VGW Malta Limited, with VGW Games Limited running the sweepstakes. Chumba’s own footer, on a page published 10 September 2026, names VGW Luckyland Inc among its payment administration agents. vgw.co lists five brands: Monopoly Match, Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, Global Poker and LuckyLand Casino.
Two VGW siblings stay open, as reported. Global Poker’s Sweeps Rules 25.0 of 13 July 2026 keep a 50 SC floor and the 5 SC online request (SR 6.5 and 3.2(d)) on a poker-first product. LuckyLand Casino is a separate VGW brand, named in a VGW post dated 12 December 2025; its rules sit outside this comparison, and a LuckyLand Slots account carries over to it in no document read.
What each does better
In the LuckyLand vs Chumba scorecard, LuckyLand Slots, while it ran, did better on one scored rule: a 50 SC floor for cash and gift cards, against Chumba’s 100.
Chumba does better on everything the closure touches. It continues, its terms (27.0, 13 July 2026) are newer than LuckyLand’s last captured terms (25.0, 24 November 2025), its help pages name the rails (bank, Skrill, Prizeout), and its expiry clause is on file. Every other row matches clause for clause.
LuckyLand vs Chumba: verdict by reader type
- LuckyLand players with 50 SC or more eligible: the deadline matters more than the comparison. Verify, then make one request before the reported 14 September 2026 end.
- LuckyLand players who want the same rulebook: Chumba. Same coins, same 5 SC entry request, same clocks; the floor doubles to 100 SC.
- LuckyLand players who valued the 50 SC floor: Global Poker keeps it inside VGW. Outside VGW, WOW Vegas prints a 50 SC cash floor and High 5 a 50 SC gift card floor.
- Anyone choosing fresh: the brands that beat Chumba and the full scorecard of other sites like Chumba set every brand against the same rules.
